Watchdog's Programmes
Watchdog provides several early intervention and educational programs that cater to the needs and ages of the children enrolled at our facility. Each child who is enrolled in our programming attends a minimum of two classroom sessions per week. We offer both English language and Chinese language instruction.
Watchdog’s curriculum is centered on the assessment and monitoring of six key development areas in young children: fine motor; gross motor; cognitive; adaptive; social-communication and social. Ongoing observation by faculty and staff partnered with regular communication with and input from parents ensures that individual education programs (IEP) for each child will be developed and implemented. A child’s progress is monitored continually by Watchdog faculty and staff with formal assessments taking place in December and June. Speech and music therapy are conducted as part of the weekly class routine. When necessary to achieve a child’s educational targets, physio and occupational therapy are incorporated into a child’s programme. Parents are active in their children’s learning, frequently observing classes and working with faculty to develop techniques to supplement school programming at home.
Watchdog employs 26 faculty and staff members, highly qualified therapists and early interventionists who are professionally trained in fields associated with early childhood education.
